Keith Crowe, Director
I’m a New York City native and a graduate of De Witt Clinton HS in Bronx, NY.
I am a US Navy veteran who achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer (E-7). While in the Navy I studied at St Leo University and achieved an Associate of Arts degree. I subsequently studied at Strayer and DeVry Universities in pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree.
After my naval career I became a technology professional, and for the last 27 years have been a remote employee for a Silicon Valley, CA company.
I am blessed to be married to Joyce Crowe of Eastern Shore, VA. Together we have 3 children, 4 grandchildren, 2 dogs and a cat.
My spiritual journey currently has me serving as an Associate Minister at the Mount Global Fellowship of Churches Chesapeake, VA campus.
My business interests are in protecting and empowering families and small business as an independent insurance agent and Prepaid Legal Services Inc. associate.
I am a music lover, fitness enthusiast, and I also currently provide care for an older sibling.
My involvement with Juneteenth is multifaceted. Our story needs to be heard and repeated until it cannot be confused or forgotten. What is missing from the history books must be carried in our hearts to keep us determined and resilient to be strong and purposeful now and in the generations to follow.
Our gathering around our story as a community strengthens our ties and love for one another so that we can defeat the ills within our communities, and allow us to stand united and victorious against the enemies outside of our communities of color.
